Jenna Fischer was best known for her portrayal of Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on television. Her role on The Office earned her an Emmy nomination for Most Outstanding Supporting Actress category and she also was awarded two SAG Awards, both for outstanding performances by an ensemble cast in a comedy.
Her mother, Anne, performed in church plays while she was a kid that instilled a love of theater and performance in Jenna. Jenna's mother Anne was a performer in church dramas as a child This sparked her passion for theater.
Fischer is an actress with theatre training. The Off-Broadway production Reasons to Be Happy was written and directed by Neil LaBute, with Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb and Fred Weller. Following her appearance in Steve Martin's new show Meteor Shower (an absurdist comedy featuring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg), she was then invited to appear in at the Old Globe Theatre's record-breaking world premiere.
The cast of the show, including Angela Kinsey (the cast mate of Fischer) and her best friend in real life, Angela Kinsey from The Office, started a podcast back in October. The show was called Office Ladies. The show has since become extremely popular and is now in the Top Ten every single week. The debut year, the show received more than 200,000,000 downloads. The podcast premiered in January of 2021. Office Ladies won iHeart Radio's Podcast of the Year award.
She's also the co-author for Office BFF's Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends The Office. This memoir is about the relationship between them and how they worked in the production of The Office.
