The children were sleeping in the crib while I was strapped in with one of them on my back. Ha! The home was beginning to appear nice, however there were a few things that needed to be left. To furnish the home would be a huge effort both in time and money. It was also going to be a challenge to go out and shop for my most-loved items. In order to stay in the realm of budgets, I took to going with my boys to estate sales looking for of diamonds. We had a weekly schedule which consisted of spending the week from Friday through Saturday at estate sales and garage sales shopping for new and used objects. I then spent the remainder of the week painting and sanding on the driveway. My passion for furniture restoration began with a look like this. I kept on restoring furniture, even after having furnished our house. There was a place on the market in town that I could sell my pieces. Eventually I had more pieces that I could decide what to do with and had outgrown the space. I hosted open houses at my house where 1 000 visitors would pass through over a weekend, and the visitors were able to purchase items on the first floor. My venture Growing Days began here. The business wasn't just flourishing, but I was also growing my sweet family too. It was like I was able to find the perfect equilibrium between motherhood as well as starting my own venture. Growing Days seemed like the best fit. The year was 2013, and my sweet daughter Nora came along our 4th kiddo. I adored where my business was going, but I wanted a break. I decided to quit building my old furniture for a while and stay home with the children. In the beginning, this was exactly what I needed. After a few months that the phones started to be ringing. Numerous people reached me seeking advice regarding home improvements and decor. They were mostly people that came to my house for furniture. In the course of my work I added new clients to my list in a series of. It wasn't too long before I managed multiple clients and ran a successful home remodeling business. When you first spoke to me about my business in home renovation, I laughed. When I look back, it makes me smile.
