Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, at Puy-deDomme, France on the 9th of August 1976. She is the oldest child of 4 children. Since a young age, her dentist surgeon parents and her teacher mother supported Audrey's love of theatre and drama. This passion that overshadowed her initial wish to become a primatologist. Her rise to fame as an actress in her early years was quick and marked by early success. Her career began in earnest in 1999, after which she began acting professionally. Following her studies Tautou was a participant in the French television show for talent scouting called Jeunes Premiers. Tautou was born into a Catholic home, and was a member of the church, even though she attended school within The Institut Catholique de Paris. Neben her acting, Tautou has also been a model and the face in the advertising campaign for L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. An avid photographer, she created a show during The Arles International Festival that was titled Superficial. Her photographs is mainly focused on celebrities and the spotlight. Cameras are focused towards journalists who scrutinized her as she rose to stardom in Amelie. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and international fame with her debut role as a lead character in The Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Pouulain. Amelie was a worldwide box office hit, receiving accolades during awards ceremonies across all over the world. Amelie was the highest-rated french-language film to hit the US. Following this massive success, Tautou was later cast in numerous films, such as British dramas such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Long Sunday of fiancailles. She also starred alongside Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
